Description:		SEARCH is a tool written in PERL which allows the user to search in structured text files such as they are typically given in annotated corpora. It directly supports CHAT - Childes- and SHOEBOX format and it can easily be extended to other b lock-structured formats. The usere can specify patterns as regular expressions, associate them with tier - annotation layer- names, and combine them with help of a flexible logical language. If the corpus is block structured one can include block distanc es in the logical expression. If columns are supported as in SHOEBOX one can also include column distances.
