Description:Translation (Rita Seng Mai) I would like to tell you about a tragic event. Once upon a time, there was a family in a village. The couple had a child. After having a child, the father went to a faraway place to support his family financially. He earned a great amount of money after many years. He told his wife and child to come to him. Then the wife carried her child and went to her husband. She took the ship to go there. However, there was a storm. The ship she took was sunk. Then the captain asked help from another small boat to rescue them. The passengers could get into that small boat. The small boat captain was about to drive it away. At that time, he saw the woman with a child on the broken ship. He wanted to rescue them, but the boat was already full. There was no space left for them. If he took them with him, his boat would definitely be sunk. He just said sorry to her. Then she requested him to take her child. She said, "Please, save my child. I know my life will end here, on this sinking ship." She was crying hard and looking at her child for the last time. She told her child, "Go to your dad, my lovely son. Let's meet again in heaven." Then she lost her life on the slowly sinking ship. I have heard a song about that tragic event. The lyrics are 'many years ago, I had to leave my wife and child to do a business'. I hear that song till today. The wife and their child went to the husband to be together, but the journey was far. Although they loved each other so much, they had to live separately. Finally, when she went to her husband, she tragically died before arriving there. The song is about a tragic love story. It is still sung and listened to.
