Description:		Eleuterio Gorostiza y María Ocotlán Fermín hablan del a:ki:smekat. Fermín comenta que no es fácil erradicar el bejuco llamado a:ki:smekat porque al cortarlo y tumbarlo aunque se coloque en lo alto de un árbol donde no tenga contacto con el suelo ahí retoña y crece hacia abajo buscando suelo para enraizarse. El bejuco se parece al tronco del chakay (Bursera simaruba L. Sarg.). Las hojas del a:kis:mekat salen de tres en tres. Florea y da frutos que al madurarse son pone negros. Comenta María Ocotlán que los pájaros se alimentan de estos frutos. Ella también menciona el xokomekat, un bejuco que dice tiene propiedades medicinales, para curar el mal de orín. Este bejuco es un poquito rojizo y tiene las hojas ramificadas. Se parecen a las hojas de a:ki:smekat pero las de xokomekat son lisas.
